Five for Friday 429

Welcome to Friday,

Somehow we’ve arrived at the end of July. I’m not always sure where summers go, but I do my best to make sure they involve travel, books, and ice cream – though maybe in a different order. I’m currently planning our next trip to Worms and Trier, and continuing to study the language. Here’s to making the most of what we’ve got!

Here is the best from around the Internet:

Found in a library book: “No Time for This!” Is it too much to ask which library book?

Another entry in the “What happened to all the geniuses?” discussion. This is a more forward looking piece.

A Russian mathematician wrote an alternate version of history. It is … odd. He posits that rather than a series of events which, from a bird’s eye view, tend to follow similar patterns, those similar events are actually a single event, recorded with different time stamps.

On starting from scratch as a creative person, and how refreshing it can be.

“All reading is good, but reading on paper is linked to vastly superior achievement outcomes.”

Currently reading: Anna: The Biography by Amy Odell

Have a great weekend.
