Today marks a somber anniversary in the U.S.; twenty-five years since the attacks of 9/11. I know I will always remember where I was that day, as a middle-schooler watching the day unfold on the news. A day to remember.
Here is what I found worth sharing this week.
It’s well-documented I am not a fan of AI. I remain deeply skeptical of the grandiose claims the tech industry attaches to AI. This week, the tech industry claimed the technology has the potential to kill “billions” of people. My question is simply, “How?”. How is AI supposedly going to cure thousands of diseases? How will it cure cancer? Now, the tech industry itself says AI is going to kill billions of people? How? Computer Science professor and author Cal Newport breaks down what he thinks may be going on here.
Reading rates have declined all across the West. Why not in Spain, where reading rates continue to increase?
