Five for Friday 112

Good Friday to you!

I hope this weekend finds you full of hope for the next week! In the spirit of Easter, I looked into a few traditions around the holiday, discovering a few facts on their origins. This listicle provides a useful overview. The kite flying analogy was so creative!

Here are the five things I’m reading this weekend:

The clouds have finally cleared, allowing the sun to make an appearance for two consecutive days this week. This, of course, has spurred my excitement for prime salad season.

NPR’s walk through the history of the beautiful Notre Dame, after this week’s horrendous fire, along with an expert’s analysis of just how the fire caused so much damage.

One man’s curious quest to read Mark Twain’s library. I’d never considered what an issue his steamboat lifestyle would present for historians, but it is interesting to see all the work that goes into preserving such things.

This recent piece on dreams that might never have been. As someone interested in psychology and memory this research is truly fascinating.

Finally, a good ole’ Texas roadtrip.
