Five for Friday 140

Happy Friday, and welcome to November,

I’m really enjoying autumn, and the rainy cooler weather it brings. I’ve been thinking a lot about goals and gratitude this week, and how November can represent a time of reflection and thankfulness each year. As the year comes to a close, I am reminded of just how much has happened over the past ten months, I’m grateful for lessons learned, and I am already excited about 2020. A few weeks early, but what can I say – I like to make plans!

Why coming up just short is a key predictor of success. Or, in summary; the act of just missing out on an opportunity could motivate you to keep working at the job, resulting in success down the line. Many who just make the cut drop out, after only seeing moderate results. If you just barely made the cut, some of those whom you beat out will be working hard to overtake you. It brought me some new perspective on just missing the cut.
