Last month I had the pleasure of driving across Ireland and stopping at various roadside attractions, at one of which I got to meet an Irish Wolfhound! I did make me wonder, What happened to America’s Roadside Attractions?
We now have data behind a phenomenon we’ve all witnessed in recent years; banning a book in American libraries leads to increased circulations of that same book, this study found an average increase of 12% in states with a ban compared to states without a ban in place. It would seem the “ban” acts as marketing for the book and author.
