Five for Friday 721

Happy Friday,

Here are five things I thought worth mentioning this week.

“The world is full of men who think and teach what is right, but when they are called upon to act, they are attacked by doubt and cowardice.” How the Grimm brothers were cast out from an authoritarian regime.

The curious case of history as a matter of Russian “national security“.

This is interesting; While a four-day work-week shows higher productivity when we deal with full-time employment, a four-day school week shows declines in learning outcomes. Is this simply due to a 20% loss of opportunity for repetition and reinforcement?

On the pleasure of reading private notebooks.

Four rules for better debates.

Have a creative weekend.
