Here are five things I thought worth sharing this week.
What is missing from communication books?
A recent study found that a daily 10-minute brisk walk was associated with a longer lifespan in both women ( an additional 0.9 years) and men (1.5 years). Even more reason to get out a take a short walk this weekend.
The U.S. used more wireless phone data in 2023 alone than the entire period spanning from 2010 to 2018. This tells me a few things; websites must be mobile-friendly, the phone will continue to be the primary entertainment and semi-educational device for most people, and that, fourteen years on, smartphone usage has yet to level off.
This piece compares the concerns of the Medieval mind with those of our modern minds, arguing that while memory was the primary concern then, novelty is our concern now.
Australia plans to introduce a ban on social media for minors under 16.
