Five for Friday 528

Welcome to Friday,

What are you up to this weekend? Has ā€œBarbenheimerā€ factored into your weekend plans? I am doing some last minute shopping to prepare for a trip next week to see the sights of Berlin and Poland. We have really embraced the travel bug this summer and Iā€™m excited to see and learn about more of this beautiful continent.

Here are the best finds from around the Internet this week:

John Warner, the Biblioracle, on building a creative practice.

“What happened to all the sports books?”

An illuminating look into why coral jewelry was so plentiful and significant in nineteenth-century America.

What makes a piece of clothing or jewelry an Heirloom?

Finally, Douglas Hofstadter encourages us to learn a foreign language before it’s too late.

Currently reading: “You and the Atom Bomb” by George Orwell

Have a creative weekend.
