Here are five things I found worth sharing this week.

This piece about flattening writers, filmmakers, and directors into a category called “creators” illustrates why that term is such an insult, it boils skills and entire industries and down to their lowest common denominator. Don’t even get me started on “content creators”.

An interesting new study out of Norway links regular exercise with a higher pain tolerance. The particularly interesting aspect of this one is that the participants were tested twice, eight years apart, and the results held.

It turns out flashcards may be superior to mnemonics for studying material you want to remember for the long-term.

Ten fascinating ideas from the past fifty years of philosophy. This piece illustrates that philosophy continues to incorporate new scientific findings into existing models, producing sophisticated theories for viewing the world.
