Five for Friday 248

Welcome to the weekend,

The highlight of the week has been the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever made over the weekend, from Pinch of Yum’s recipe. They truly were exceptional – fluffy, soft, just the right amount of chips – the best cookies I’ve eaten, much less baked. Do yourself a favor and make some – ’tis the season.

While munching on the aforementioned cookies, I’ve been exploring theories and models of how information travels. Right now I’m reading Walter Lippmann’s Public Opinion.

Here is what I’m reading this weekend, which are unrelated but no less interesting:

“The first US museum was devoted to truth and reason. Then the circus came to town.”

Some very busy houseplants – How Much Your Houseplants Move in A Day.

Always relevant – Theodore Roosevelt’s speech on The Strenuous Life.

How Craft Beer was saved.

Finally, how much do you know about the Star Horse?

Currently reading: Call Sign Chaos by Jim Mattis and Bing West

Have a beautiful weekend!
