Happy Friday,
Let’s get right to the links this week, shall we?
This week I discovered the paintings of Thomas Cole. (hat tip to David Perell.)
Robbing the Bank of England.
A fascinating study of buffet behavior showing that we tend to eat whatever we see first. The results showed that two-thirds of the participants’ plates were filled with the first three items on the buffet. When the first three foods were healthy, the results held. Basically, what we make accessible is what we most likely act on. My takeaway is to make it easy to choose good habits, whether food, or reading, or something else. We follow the path of least resistance.
Tracing the origins of Greyhound racing.
I also stumbled across this stunningly scenic writing studio and have updated my bucket list accordingly.
