Happy Friday,
The magnolia blossoms bloomed this past week, prompting me to take long stares at the trees, flowers, birds, and whatever else may be staring back. Over the past few months, many of us have taken long stares at our notions of normal, safe, and necessity. As we venture back into our “norms,” let’s remember to take these lessons of appreciating time and the slowness of life with us, shall we?
As for this slow weekend, I’ll be reading:
How a pack of baseball cards inspired a road-trip.
An interview with the remarkable biographer and historian David McCullough.
Perhaps I’ll upgrade my Chicken Parm recipe.
Finally, my favorite photographer, Jamie Beck, recently completed her breathtaking Isolation Creation series. She created a unique photograph each of the sixty days documenting quarantine at her home in France. Her images are such lovely pockets of joy to come across daily, and truly inspiring. The series really took off in the last week, though, and she was even featured on Martha Stewart’s website. How wonderful it is to see others recognize the beauty in something you love!

Have a wonderful weekend!
