Happy Friday,
This past week was quite busy for us, as we celebrated Easter, my birthday, and my husband’s birthday all within three days. Lots of cake was eaten – specifically Lemon Drizzle Cake from the Kinfolk Table cookbook, my favorite lemon recipe. The week’s celebrations reminded me that having family and loved ones just a phone call away is such a blessing. I’m going into this weekend with gratitude – and a craving for more cake.
Here’s what I’ll be reading this weekend:
I’m looking into the Lessons of History via David Perell.
Have you, too, recently become a backyard bird watcher?
Why We Turn to Jane Austen in Dark Times
An interesting look at the research on why we are Less Hungry After an Intense Workout.
Lastly, how schools are endeavoring to save the Hawaiian language from extinction.
Currently Reading: The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
Have a beautiful weekend!
