Happy Friday,
Welcome to the weekend. This week I’ve been studying two books which relate to the media in very different ways; the first is a biography of Thomas Jefferson and the second is Dr. Marshall McLuhan‘s text on how media change our habits. Both are very interesting and I’ll be sharing my thoughts on them and the historic influence of the media in a few weeks. This is the most ambitious writing I’ve done so far, and I’m excited to explore some ideas and share them here.
Here is what I’ll be diving into this weekend:
Adam Driver on his journey from the US Marine Corps to Julliard trained actor.
These stunning images from 2019’s winners of the Art of Building contest. The contest presents the very best digital photography of built structures, from both amatuers and pros.
America leads the world in health spending, yet routinely under performs on measurements of health. What does this tell us and how can we change it?
This design series based on the colors and gradients found in various bird species. I think my favorite is the Mallard, but aren’t they all stunning?
