It is such a gift to be able to revisit moments in history, and to draw lessons from them. Whether shared by the world or deeply personal, history is part of what makes the human experience.
Here are a few histories I’m reading through this weekend:
Emilia Clarke’s terrifying account of a brain aneurysm at age 24.
The case of the volcano that wasn’t.
Where Have All the Pirates Gone? Which reminds me of this new book on how World War I influenced the modern horror fiction genre.
And finally, looking through Time’s photo essay on the history of the Berlin Wall; paired with this recent photo essay on the city.
Currently Reading: A Treatise of Human Nature by David Hume
Have a wonderful weekend!
