This weekends’ links are:

This startling and surprising piece looking at inflammation in a new way; as the root of chronic disease, rather than a symptom.
Quartz’s coverage on those choosing to opt out of online algorithms. Navigating, sometimes literally, an increasingly digital world presents its challenges and bizarre turns.
Such as, the age of the influencer; how the “Instagram aesthetic” is changing, coupled with the New Yorker’s History of the Influencer.
Finally, in honor of Cinco de Mayo this weekend, two stories on comida Mexicana en los Estados Unidos.
