And just like that, we are at the end of the first month of 2019! Did January treat you well?
Here’s my top five things I’m loving this weekend:
I find Richard Avedon’s fashion photography endlessly inspiring, and am blown away with Dior’s interpretation for their 2019 Couture Show. I just love when the same theme is revisited by artists living in different times.
After stumbling across this article, I’ve changed my phone to grayscale for the majority of the day. It’s been two weeks, and I can tell I feel much calmer looking at my phone and look at it less throughout the day. Have you heard of or tried this? I’m up for trying out new productivity tips and plan to write about my experience after six weeks.
Ryan Holiday’s Read to Lead
I’m always blown away by the sheer amount of content Holiday consumes. This post is the best information I’ve come across for walking through the process of reading books which are out of your depth.
Last weekend we all, apparently, watched at least one of two documentaries about the spectacle known as Fyre Festival. This weekend I’m reading all about it. What a fascinating (read: hilarious) look at all things ridiculous. NPR’s review here, and exploration of the legal consequences here.
And finally, I’ll be whipping up these scrumptious rolls for a lazy breakfast this weekend. (via Joy the Baker)
I am currently reading Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane and Dostoevsky’s The Idiot.
Have a beautiful weekend!
